GG Organics, a global manufacturer and supplier of Leather and Textile Chemicals, was awarded the "Export Excellence Award" on April 25th, 2022 by MEPZ Special Economic Zone, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, Chennai for their outstanding export performance in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
The event took place in the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri. M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India and awards were presented by Smt. Anupriya Singh Patel, Honourable Minister of State for Commerce and Industry (Govt. of India).
GG Organics has topped this award for the highest exports in the categories of Chemicals, Plastics, Rubber, Pharmaceuticals & Drugs and the Criteria of 10-50 Crore Exports.
Mr. D Raja, Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GG Organics, received the award on the company's behalf. Over 100 enterprises from South India have been recognised as a result of the event.
Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) was established in 1984 and was classified as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in 2003. Tamil Nadu has over 41 SEZs, with a total of 268 in India. Despite the pandemic, over 610 industrial enterprises operate from SEZs in Tamil Nadu, exporting Rs 1 lakh crore over the last four fiscal years.
